Well it’s official! Rachel and I have finally taken the plunge – about 3 weeks ago, soz for only writing this post now – and we’ve started our very own podcast! So I guess I thought I’d come on here and talk a little bit about why we’ve started a podcast, what it’s going to be about and whatever other useless bollocks that will likely be utterly irrelevant and pointless for you to read. Sorry in advance, but this is mainly just an attempt for me to plug the podcast and get you to subscribe. Love you!

The Ross and Rachel Show – Why We’ve Started a Podcast
Starting a podcast is something I’ve probably wanted to do for years. Going back to my early days of depression – so when I was roughly 17 – podcasts would get me through the night. Every single night I would listen to the Ricky Gervais show purely to distract my mind enough to be able to fall asleep. In essence, they were a fucking lifeline.
I’m actually surprised it’s taken me this long to start a podcast. I think I was always worried about starting out, not being very good at it, or even just not having anything to say. But with Rachel opposite me we can talk shit for days. And with parenting or married life there’s always something to talk about.

To me, podcasts and videos are the future
They’re things that you can generally consume during your “dead time” rather than things you have to give time for. Driving to work? Chuck on a podcast. Doing the dishes? Watch some shit on YouTube. Meanwhile, a blog post is something you have to actually read. And fuck reading. Says the guys who wants to write a book. Nobody has time for that shit in 2019.
This podcast will give Rachel and I a chance to actually sit down, look each other in the eye without any interruptions and have a chat. We can talk about whatever bollocks we want to and hopefully make a few people laugh along the way. I’d love for this to eventually become something that puts a small amount of change in our pockets, but at this stage we barely do anything for money.
What will the Ross and Rachel Show Actually be About?
Honestly, I have no idea. It’ll probably be based on our life as a married couple and as parents. But other than that I guess it could be anything.
As a rule, I’m quite a silly person. So I dare say it’ll mostly be fun. But from time to time I like to get a little more serious and talk about more intricate, harder to talk about topics. So if something comes up in the news, or there’s something we just want to talk about, then we’ll cover it. But if you want to see an example of the podcast, then why not watch the podcast on YouTube.
In essence, we just want to have fun, talk about real shit and try and make this podcast a “no bullshit” place like we’ve tried to do with our social media accounts. Let’s just sit down, talk shit to one another like a real couple, and that’s about it.
“Ross, the idea of you and Rachel doing a podcast literally fills me with arousal, how can I subscribe and support you?”
Oh wow! Thank you! I never expect to fill people with arousal, but I can’t believe that I’ve done that to you!
Anyway, if you want to support us and the podcast, then you can follow us on Spotify, subscribe on iTunes – if you want to leave a review I will be very, very thankful! – and also subscribe and watch on YouTube! Honestly, if you do subscribe and watch on YouTube it would help so much!
In essence, this post is a shameless plea for anyone who’s reading this to support the podcast.
In order to earn money on YouTube you need 1000 subscribers – I’m currently on 316 – and 4000 watched hours over a 12 month period! I’m nowhere near that, so if you fancy leaving my YouTube channel on repeat for the next 12 months then that would be swell as fuck. If not then…
