Summer in the City with a Garden Room

Over the past year we have all missed being able to see and spend quality time with our friends and family. A garden room is a perfect way of hosting friends and family whilst still giving them their own space outside of your home. There won’t be any issues of trying to find local Airbnb’s or hotels, as you have the perfect guest annexe in your garden. In a garden room, you can have a kitchen or kitchenette for your guests to cater for themselves or create enough space for a bedroom with an ensuite and living area. However you want to host your guests, a garden room can be a blessing in the busy summer months.

But of course, we don’t want to forget how important the garden is to the smaller members of the family. A garden room can give your children the space to play out of the harsh sunlight and midday heat and can be customised to how your children play at different ages. For the toddlers, you can have a play space with padded mats and sensory equipment. Once those little legs have grown up, you can swap the play mats for bean bags and indoor hammocks, for your teenagers to relax with their friends after school or during the summer break.

Summer is the time to let your hair down and relax with friends and family, and a garden room allows you to do just that without the stress of travelling to the coast or finding a rental to get away. A summer escape in the comfort of your home may be the blessing we all need this summer after a long winter, and even longer pandemic. Hawksbeck Garden Rooms is a leading provider of bespoke garden rooms, with an entire range of garden rooms for you to choose from this summer.

With summer fast approaching, many of us are thinking about our summer holidays as the pandemic draws to an end. For many of us, the prospect of going abroad is pretty daunting, and official government guidance is encouraging people to stay local and enjoy the delights of the English summer! A garden room can be the perfect addition to your home to fully enjoy the summer, being the perfect space for hosting guests with a barbeque or allowing friends to stay over after having a couple of drinks.

One of the main benefits of a garden room is the multi-functionality of the space it creates, especially during the summertime. Everyone loves a barbeque, but nobody likes the cold once the sun has gone down. With a garden room, you can retreat to the warmth and comfort of your garden room space, where you can wrap up and watch films or sit and catch up after the events of the last year. You can decorate your garden room with sofas, soft mats, televisions or cinema spaces, anything that you need or desire. Plus, you can continue to watch the clear night skies through wide glass bifolding doors!
