Well, that’s our very first wax melt subscription box officially in the books, so I thought I’d jump on here to talk a little bit about it. This is almost like a review, only it’s biased as I’m the one who owns Teddy Eva Scents. But yeah… Do you want me to show you the super cool – my personal opinion – first subscription box? Ok then, I guess I will…
Wax Melt Subscription Box: Teddy Eva Scents – The Sweet Shop Box
So as you can probably tell from the image above, we included four wax melts in May’s subscription box – which isn’t news as that’s what will be in every box – along with a total of TEN different sweet related items for our subscribers – or their kids – to eat!
The melts we included this month were the following:
- Rhubarb and Custard
- Lemon Sherbet
- Pear Drops – NEW
- Jelly Beans – NEW
And here’s what the newly designed logos looked like:
We basically want to do this for every box. Completely redesign the logos – which will be exclusive for the box only – redesign the “Thank you” cards, the labelling on the box, and maybe even get different shredded paper if it’s needed. It all goes together to give the box a real feel to how we want it themed.
What we want this wax melt subscription box to be
Look… I know wax melts are a heavily saturated market. There’s a choice out there everywhere you look. I understand that you could probably go out and find loads of other wax melt subscription boxes. I’m not even doubting that you can probably find ones that are cheaper. Don’t get me wrong, if someone asked how long our wax melts last, then I’d like to thing they last a while.
So I guess this is the part where I pretend you ask “well why buy yours then?” and give you some sort of answer.
Honestly, I’m pretty shit when it comes to sales. I don’t like doing it. I don’t like trying to convince people to buy our wax melts, and at this point in our business I flat out refuse to run Facebook/Instagram ads trying to get people to buy. We simply try our absolute best and then hope for the best.
The same can be said for this subscription box. The last thing we want this subscription box to be is soulless. The same can be said for Teddy Eva Scents in general. When you open something from us I want you to feel that it’s been packed and made by real people. That it has some sort of personality.
That’s why this subscription box will never become a case of “here’s four wax melts… cheers for the cash.” It’s something that I genuinely love researching, spending countless hours thinking about future boxes and possible ideas. I already have June, July and August mapped out in my head, with a bunch of other ideas floating around for future boxes too. Heck, the other day I was even researching how to make bloody soap just so we could provide better gifts to go with the melts down the line.

WHAT’S COMING IN NEXT MONTH’S BOX?
For our next wax melt subscription box, we’ve decided to go with a “Trip to the Spa” themed box! As of this writing, I’m currently working on the added extras and can promise that there will be THREE GIFTS to go along with the four BRAND NEW wax melts. At the end of the day, this subscription box is mainly about the wax melts, but we want it to be more than just that.
