Before I start, I will say that I’m not totally feeling this weeks blog. I know that’s not the first time I’ve said this, but sometimes I feel like I have too much I want to write out, and don’t really want to ramble. So instead you get a shortened, slightly rushed version of what I’m actually trying to say. I have thought about doing a podcast, that way I can sit down and actually articulate what I want to convey in a lengthened, drawn out way. I understand that this might not interest many, but for those who are interested, then you will be able to take a lot more from it. Anyway, on to this week, which I will start with a picture of Isabelle with a slight mark on her head after taking a bump. We’re not perfect parents, nor do we ever pretend to be:

Isablog #16 – Keeping up Traditions and That’s the Seven Month Mark
As you may already know, I like to try and keep this blog as open and honest as I feel is appropriate. We need some boundaries, and I will try to keep them. But at the moment, I’m knackered. The problem with writing a weekly blog is often the fact you have to actually write a weekly blog. And this is the 15th time I’ve had to do this. Some weeks, I turn up and I’m very much up for it. I have a point, a purpose, and the mental energy to follow through on my promise to myself to do this. Other times, I don’t really know what to say, I don’t really want to write and I don’t exactly have the time. But I do it. Could I take a week off? Yes, but that’s not what I want to do.
When Do Babies Start Crawling? Seven Months In and She’s Really Moving
So this week Isabelle has really taken off with her crawling. The way she is now, you really do have to have eyes in the back of your head. Give her a minute or so and she’s crawled across to the baby gate, pulled herself up and holds on. I don’t think it will be long before she’s trying to walk. Not that either me or Rachel want her to do that any time soon.
Isablog #13 – A Little Bit of a Tougher Week
I will apologise for the inconsistencies between the blog and the vlog. This is the 13th blog, mixed with the 11th vlog. Does it matter? Not really. Here it is: For those not wishing to watch that, and I don’t really blame you, then here’s some good old fashioned writing for […]
Starting Halloween Traditions with a Halloween Themed Bake Off
So, as you may be aware, Halloween is right around the corner, and for us, we’ve chosen to ‘celebrate’ it the Sunday before.
For me and Rachel, starting family traditions is going to be very important to us. We love the idea of doing something as a family for all the occasions that you come across during the year. We’ll have some sort of egg hunt for Easter, a Christmas Eve box for Christmas, a fancy dinner for Thanksgiving (I know we’re not American so don’t say it) and heck, I even fancy doing something for all the random ones like St. Patrick’s day, St. David’s day, Independence Day and anything else that comes along.
Isablog #11 – Weaning and Being in the News
To put it lightly, this week has been a rather bizarre one.
It started quite normally, and Tuesday saw us starting to wean Isabelle. Here she is getting her first taste of actual food:
