“Woo-hoo, what a wonderful weekend, let’s spend it on cleaning our house!” said no one ever. We have to find the quickest and the most efficient way to clean our house, so we can enjoy every minute of the day. But how? Life is short, do not waste it on boring things and actions. Make the most of everything, even cleaning. Let some nice music play, let enough fresh air into your living space to make the atmosphere enjoyable and let’s get down to business. 

Organize your tasks and help

Some people like to clean room by room, so that they are sure that the job in one room is done and they won’t have to come back again. 

We suggest that you do task by task. First of all, make sure that everybody is engaged in cleaning, and let them know about the plan for cleaning. You’ve already walked through the house and already have a plan, so let’s start with priorities.  

Start with the bathroom

We suggest that you start with the bathroom, because at the end of the voyage you will come back to it to take a shower after your busy day, and it will already be nice and clean, prepared for you to enjoy. You need to clean up and polish all the surface stains on tiles, bathtub, and sink. There are lots of multi-purpose cleaners, so use them for your bathtub and sink, or use some powerful sink and drain cleaner if needed. For the toilet you can use all-purpose quick foaming toilet cleaner, or bubble bombs, or some strong deodorant liquid foam. Make it shine and smell nice and clean.

Do a little scouting around the house

First of all, you need to snoop around the house and see what all is there to be done. And do not forget to bring your trash can with you, just to save some of your precious time, for you can collect some trash on your way, and there is always something to collect. 

You can do the same thing with a laundry basket, there is always some piece of clothes that needs washing in some corner or on some chair, especially if you live with teenagers. And maybe it’s also time to change beddings, so take off the dirty ones and you won’t have to stroll around with a laundry basket twice, because laundry is kind of a never-ending story.  

And you can do the same scouting with a tray, everybody loves a snack and a drink in bed, and there are often some glasses, snack bowls, and snack bags at the bedside. 

While collecting stuff, you’ve already made the picture of what is there to be done, so you can easily organize cleaning. There is enough job for everyone.

Curtains and windows time

Curtains are sometimes necessary, either to protect us from unwanted sights, or as a decor. But the truth is that they collect lots of dust, so from time to time, take them off, wash them, and wash your windows using glass spray and squeegee and window cloth. Curtains can be washed while the rest of cleaning is in progress, and they should be put back in place when the cleaning is done. They will give the final touch, the perfect scent of a clean house.

Get rid of dust everywhere

Now it is time for dusting and vacuuming. It is very important to do the dusting first. Use your dust cloths, microfiber extendable duster, and different sprays for different surfaces. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the dusters after dusting surfaces, not all the dust can be cleaned with just one duster, so instead of plenty of dusters, vacuum them and use them again. Polish and maybe wax some pieces of the furniture, so it is protected from stains especially on the tables 

When you are finished with dusting, use a vacuum cleaner to clean the floor and carpets. If necessary, wash the floors using your favorite floor cleaner. And now you have a perfectly clean house.

Time to make up the beds

We suggest that this is the last step to make, after all the dusting and cleaning is done. Put fresh sheets and pillow cases, make up the beds, put the covers and decorative pillows, give a blast of a room spray and the job is done. Also, don’t forget to draw a nice bath and prepare to head to the perfect place for your sweet dreams – your freshly-made bedroom.
